Conversation Delay Rule

Understanding the Conversation Delay Rule

The Conversation Delay Rule is designed to help you manage follow-up messages in a way that allows for natural and timely engagement with your contacts. This rule dictates when the next nurture point message will be sent after a recipient has replied to the previous message.

How It Works

When a recipient replies to a message, the system will delay sending the next nurture point message by a set period to give you adequate time to respond personally. You can choose from the following options:

  • 24-Hour Delay (Default Option): The next message will be sent 24 hours after the recipient's response.
  • 48-Hour Delay: If you need more time to follow up, you can extend the delay to 48 hours.
  • Auto-Send: The next message will be sent regardless of whether you have replied to the previous message or not.
  • Skip: If the recipient responds to the previous message, the next message will be skipped entirely.

Choosing the Right Option

Selecting the appropriate delay option depends on your engagement strategy:

  • Use the 24-hour or 48-hour delay to create a conversational flow and provide personalized responses.
  • Choose auto-send if immediate follow-ups are necessary, such as in automated sequences where response timing is less critical.
  • Opt for skip to prevent redundant messages when a recipient is already engaged in the conversation.

By leveraging the Conversation Delay Rule effectively, you can enhance communication, improve engagement, and foster better relationships with your contacts.
