# How to Upload People from a CSV into a Group

## Uploading a CSV file to your dashboard allows you to easily import multiple people into a group in just a few steps.

### **1. Go to Groups**

- Click onGroups in the left-hand menu of your dashboard.
- Select the Group where you’d like to upload new contacts.

- Click People in Group.

### **2. Start the Import Process**

- Select Add People.

- Select Import CSV.
- Choose File

### **4. Upload Your File**

- Select the CSV file from your computer.
- Make sure the file includes the following columns:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email
- Phone Number

**Best Practice:** Make sure your CSV file is properly formatted before importing.

### **5. Review and Confirm**

- Click Import, then click Continue Import to complete the process.
- The system will only add each person to groups they're not already in — if someone is already in one selected group, they'll still be added to any others where they don't exist yet.

### **Uploading a CSV to a New Group**

1. Go to Groups.
2. Click Add Group.
3. Fill in the Name and Description fields.
4. Click Add Group to create it.
5. Follow the same steps above to upload your CSV file into this new Group.

**Best Practice:** Always double-check your CSV formatting before import to avoid errors.
