# Setting Up Facebook and Instagram Accounts
This guide will show you how to set up your church’s Facebook and Instagram pages, create a Business Manager account, and connect everything so it all works together. Whether you’re just getting started or want to improve what you already have, these steps will help you build a strong online presence.
### **Create a Meta Business Manager Account**
- Go to[https://business.facebook.com/](https://business.facebook.com/)
- Click “Create Account”
- Log in with your personal Facebook account (an admin will manage the business assets)
- Fill in the following info:
- Business Name (e.g., “Grace Church Ministries”)
- Your name
- Business email address (church’s official email)
- Click “Submit”. You now have a Meta Business Manager account.
### **Create a Facebook Page for the Church**
- Go to[https://www.facebook.com/pages/create/](https://www.facebook.com/pages/create/)
- Choose "Business or Brand"
- Fill in the following:
- Page Name: \[Church Name\]
- Category: "Church" or "Religious Organization"
- Description: Brief mission or about info
- Upload:
- Profile Photo: Church logo
- Cover Photo: Worship image or building exterior
- Click “Create Page”.
### **Create or Convert an Instagram Account to a Business Profile**
#### **If you already have an Instagram account:**
- Open Instagram App \> Go to your profile
- Tap the menu (☰) \> “Settings and privacy”
- Tap “Account type and tools” \> “Switch to professional account”
- Select “Business” and choose the category: “Religious Organization”
- Connect your church email and phone number
#### **Create a New Instagram Account:**
- Go to[https://www.instagram.com/](https://www.instagram.com/)
- Sign up using your church’s email
- Choose a username (like @GraceChurchTX) and password
- Follow the same steps above to switch to a professional account
### **Connect Facebook Page and Instagram to Business Manager**
#### **Connect Facebook Page:**
- Go to[https://business.facebook.com/settings/pages/](https://business.facebook.com/settings/pages/)
- Click “Add” \> “Add a Page”
- Enter the name of your Facebook Page and click “Add Page”. You must be an admin of the Page to add it.
#### **Connect Instagram Account:**
- Go to[https://business.facebook.com/settings/](https://business.facebook.com/settings/)
- Under “Accounts,” click “Instagram Accounts”
- Click “Add” \> Log in to your church Instagram account. Once connected, your Instagram will be linked to the Business Manager
### **Link Facebook and Instagram Together**
- Go to your Facebook Page \> Settings
- Select “Linked Accounts” or “Instagram”
- Click “Connect Account”
- Log in with the Instagram church account credentials. Now the Facebook Page and Instagram
- Profile are connected.
