Updating Your VisitorReach Ads
VisitorReach may occasionally ask your church to provide new photos. Refreshing ad creative helps us maintain strong performance and gives us additional options when optimizing your campaigns.
Photos may need to be updated due to a change in your church (i.e. new location, someone in your ads has left the church and no longer wants to be featured), or to enhance performance.
How Often Should We Send New Photos?
There is no strict schedule for replacing your church’s photos. As a general best practice, we recommend sending VisitorReach a new batch of approved photos about once per quarter.
This does not mean your ads will automatically be replaced every quarter. If your existing photos are still performing well, there may be no reason to change them.
Having new, approved photos on file gives our team additional options when a refresh becomes necessary.
What If VisitorReach Requests New Photos?
If our team reaches out specifically requesting new photos, please send them as soon as you are able. A direct request usually means we have identified an opportunity to improve your accounts performance and could use new creative to work with. Promptly providing approved photos allows us to quickly make those changes and continue optimizing your ads without delay.
What If a Photo Needs to Be Removed?
If there is an urgent reason a photo should no longer be used, such as someone pictured in your ads who no longer attends your church, please contact us at support@visitorreach.com and identify the specific photo or photos that need to be removed.
Whenever possible, we recommend requesting removal of only the affected photos rather than replacing all of your existing creative. This allows us to keep as many of your current ads running as possible while making the necessary changes.
What Happens When New Photos Replace Existing Ads?
When you provide new photos to replace your existing creative, expect a transition period of approximately 1–2 weeks.
Launching brand-new ads restarts the optimization process for those ads. Rather than turning off all existing creative immediately, we may continue running your current ads for a short period while the new ads begin spending and gathering performance data.
This gradual transition helps reduce the risk of a temporary decline in results.
If removing the old creative is not urgent and those ads are still performing well, we may continue running some of them alongside the new ads.
Why Are Some Older Ads Still Running?
An ad does not necessarily need to be replaced simply because it has been running for a long period of time.
VisitorReach actively monitors factors such as ad frequency and creative fatigue. If an ad continues to perform well and the same audience is not seeing it too frequently, it can be beneficial to keep it running.
Our goal is to refresh creative when it helps performance, while avoiding unnecessary changes to ads that are already working well.
