How to Keep Stickers Secure on Fabric, Wood, Plastic, and Metal

How to Prep Fabric Seats

If you're placing a VisitorTap sticker on a cloth surface (like a fabric seat or chair), prepping the area makes all the difference. Cloth naturally has dust, lint, and tiny fibers that can weaken the sticker’s grip. Here's how to help your sticker last longer:

  • Lint Roll First: Before placing your sticker, use a lint roller to thoroughly clean the area. This removes loose fibers, dust, and dirt that could interfere with adhesion.
  • Add Extra Strength: For even better results, apply a tiny dab of permanent washable fabric glue to your sticker before applying it. We recommend this glue on Amazon. Just a small amount is enough! Press and hold the sticker firmly for a few seconds.

How to Prep Other Surfaces (Wood, Plastic, Metal)

If you're placing stickers on wood, plastic, or metal, prep is still important. Here’s what you should do:

  • Wipe down the surface with a clean cloth.
  • Use a mild cleaner (like a little soap and water or rubbing alcohol) to remove any oils, dust, or grime.
  • Dry completely before sticking.
